Industry outcomes for the School Based Apprentices and Trainees since 1998

Automotive - All trainees who completed an automotive SBAT have now completed or are completing a full time apprenticeship.

Comments from Automotive Host Employer:
- Tasks: general servicing of cars, suspension, exhaust systems." Robert is keen to learn and willing to undertake all tasks including cleaning of workshop, shows initiative by seeking out new tasks. Robert is making far better progress than anticipated, demonstrates maturity beyond his years, more like a second or third year apprentice in skills and attitude. Robert will be offered an apprenticeship at the completion of his SBAT if there is sufficient work".

Engineering - All trainees who completed an engineering traineeship have now completed or are now completing a full time apprenticeship.

Comments from Engineering Host Employer:
- Tasks: finishing off, spot welding, drilling. "Danny is good at finishing off, learns quickly, sticks to the job, is a team player and is focused; he demonstrates initiative by seeking out new tasks. Overall very pleased with Danny, good worker, likely to be offered an apprenticeship at the beginning of next year".

Office Administration - 90% graduated to full time employment and 10% have returned to school full time to complete Year 12.

Comments from Office Administration Host Employer:
- "Laura has really come on and is relied upon heavily to 'fill gaps' in the organisation eg switchboard, accounts department etc. Overall, she is quick and willing to learn, a very obliging worker who is very willing to use her initiative to seek out new tasks. She would be an asset to anyone who seeks to employ her, you can rely on her to do everything to the best of her ability. The company will be sorry to see Laura leave at the conclusion of her SBAT".

Horticulture - All trainees who completed a horticultural traineeship have now completed or are now completing a full time apprenticeship.
